Anna Delveys Lackluster Dancing With The Stars Debut Gets Icy Reception From Peeved Viewers

Anna Delvey's 'lackluster' 'Dancing With the Stars' debut gets icy reception from peeved viewers

Reality TV viewers were expecting a bang when Anna Delvey, aka Anna Sorokin, made her 'Dancing With the Stars' debut Monday night.

Instead, viewers said they were left feeling a little cold.

The convicted scammer, who faked her way into New York City's elite social scene, was paired with pro dancer Valentin Chmerkovskiy.

The duo performed a salsa to Ricky Martin's "Livin' la Vida Loca," but the routine was widely panned by viewers on social media.

"Anna Delvey's 'Dancing With the Stars' debut was a hot mess," one viewer tweeted. "She had no rhythm and her moves were stiff. I was expecting more from her."

"Anna Delvey's 'Dancing With the Stars' performance was so bad, it was almost funny," another viewer wrote.

"I couldn't believe how bad Anna Delvey was on 'Dancing With the Stars,'" a third viewer said. "She looked like she had never danced before."

Even Chmerkovskiy admitted that the performance was "not our best."

"We had a few bobbles, but I'm proud of Anna for going out there and giving it her all," he said.

Delvey, for her part, said she was "just happy to be there."

"I know I'm not the best dancer, but I'm having a lot of fun," she said.

Despite the negative feedback, Delvey's performance did generate a lot of buzz on social media.

Whether that buzz will translate into votes remains to be seen.

However, even if Delvey doesn't win "Dancing With the Stars," she's already proven that she's a master of self-promotion.

After all, she's the woman who managed to convince New York City's elite that she was a German heiress with a $60 million trust fund.

So, who knows? Maybe she'll be able to convince "Dancing With the Stars" viewers that she's a talented dancer, too.
